Refresher Course
This course is for barber and cosmetology students who have completed 1,500 hours, but have not taken the state board exam. This course is tailored to each student’s needs, covers both theory and practical, and is designed to prepare each student to take and pass state board exams.
Natural Hair License
This license is for any person who uses techniques which results in tension on hair strands such as twisting, wrapping, weaving, extending, locking or braiding of the hair by hand or mechanical appliances, which work does not include the application of dyes, reactive chemicals or other preparations to alter the color or straighten, curl or alter the structure of the hair. (300 hour course)

Nicole Trotter
Nicole S. Trotter is the CO-Founder of Trotter – Luster Academy and believes that education, hard work, dedication, prayer and faith in God are what have made her successful personally and professionally.
Ms. Trotter received her Bachelors in Business with a Concentration in Management from Austin Peay State University Clarksville, TN. She holds dual instructor licenses in Barber and Cosmetology and has over 20 years’ experience as a hair care professional in the state of Tennessee. As an Education Program Director, School and Salon owner, she motivates students to reach their full potential through her use of innovative teaching methods and effective communication.
Tomika Luster
My name is Tomika Luster, born at Ft. Campbell KY and raised in Clarksville, I can truly say this is my home town. I am a graduate from Northwest High School, Austin Beauty, QCC and Miller Motte Technical with an associate in Medical Assistant, but my love will always be hair.
Now I’m a licensed cosmetologist, instructor and salon owner in the state of Tennessee with hands-on professional experience in cosmetology and customer service. This career path has opened up so many doors for me from working hair shows, celebrity events, product lines, and tv shows, to being the co-owner of Trotter Luster Academy- the 1st “virtual” natural hair school in Clarksville, TN. Where our goal is to help you accomplish and achieve your dreams.
